What these pieces are

A shaped block with the detail cast in the mold. Use them under eaves, shelves, counters, archways, and mantels. They are accents, not framing.

Projection
How far the piece stands off the wall. On an eave, measure from the finished wall face to the fascia. A deep overhang needs more projection than a shelf or a mantel.
Height
How far it drops down the wall. A short corbel under a cabinet and a tall gable bracket use the same measurement. Match the drop on the building, not a photograph.
Width
The thickness of the block, as printed on the dimension card. Order the number of corbels the elevation calls for.

Where they go

  • Under a roof eave, between the soffit and the wall.
  • Under a shelf, counter, or mantel.
  • At an archway, as a pair.

Outside is a normal place. Paint them. They are not structural, and they do not belong in a firebox. On a sloped soffit, order the left or right pitch.

Questions before you order

What are Spectis corbels and brackets made of?

High-density polyurethane. The engraved European detail is cast in a mold. The material does not absorb water the way wood does, and it is used inside and outside after it is painted.

Do the pieces come ready to paint?

Yes. They leave the factory primed. Scuff-sand if the primer needs a tooth, fill the fastener holes, and paint to match the trim. Outside, primer is the base coat, not the weather finish.

Can I use them outside, or in a kitchen or bath?

Yes. The polyurethane is water-impervious, so eaves, porch trim, kitchens, and baths are normal locations. Install over a finished, waterproof surface. These accents are not framing, and they are not a firebox lining.

How long before an order ships?

Parts are made to order and ship from the Spectis plant in Canada. The usual window is about two to three weeks from the order date before the shipment leaves. That is a ship window, not a promised arrival day.

How does freight work for long pieces?

Shorter blocks generally move by parcel carrier. Longer pieces often travel by freight and commonly need a commercial business receiving address. Email [email protected] before checkout if the run is long.

Which adhesive should I use?

PL Premium urethane adhesive, on every bedding face and every butt joint. The store also lists it as PLP100. Do not substitute another construction adhesive. Other chemistries can attack the polyurethane.

Can I return a bracket if I ordered the wrong profile?

No. Made-to-order parts are not refundable, and there are no USA stocking dealers to swap from. Confirm width, height, projection, and pitch before you order. If delivery is damaged, note it with the carrier and email [email protected] the same day.
